Insight to Healthcare Programme
Join us for an exciting free one-day event designed specifically for Year 12 and 13 students (first year gap year students, with a previous school ID, can also attend) who are interested in pursuing a career in Medicine or Dentistry or other healthcare degrees at university/higher education.
Whether you're curious about healthcare degrees, eager to learn about the application process, or interested in learning essential clinical skills used in clinical practice, this event has something for you!
Hosted at the prestigious King's College London Guy's Campus in London Bridge, this action-packed event offers a range of engaging activities and informative sessions. Gain insights into choosing the right medical schools, using UCAS, insight into interviews and receive a comprehensive talk on Leadership and Volunteering opportunities.

Location: Hodgkin’s Building King’s College London. Guy’s Campus, SE1 1UL (nearest train station is: London Bridge Station).

Please remember to bring your own packed lunch, as it's not provided (please try to avoid bringing allergens such as nuts). If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, kindly inform us in advance so that we can make suitable arrangements. Please also bring any relevant medications with you (e.g. inhalers, epipen). Please wear smart casual attire, where possible.
This event is made possible through the Empathos Foundation charity in collaboration with KCL student societies. We're excited to offer this unique opportunity to support aspiring healthcare professionals like you, this event will be held at an accessible venue and is open to all aspiring students!
To ensure a smooth and organised event, we kindly request all participants to arrive promptly by 10:45 am latest. However, we understand that some individuals may prefer to arrive earlier to settle in and prepare for the day. Therefore, you are welcome to arrive from 10:30 am. Please note that latecomers may not be permitted entry, as this will be at the discretion of the event leads. We encourage you to plan your journey accordingly and allow sufficient time for any unexpected delays. Being punctual will help us maintain the schedule and ensure that you don't miss out on any valuable information or activities.
A certificate of attendance will be provided to all attendees, should you request one.

Participants are advised to take necessary precautions and act responsibly throughout the event. All volunteers will have the necessary safeguarding training prior to attending.

Data Privacy: Your data will be processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR). Anonymised results may be utilised for research purposes to enhance medical education (e.g., publications and poster presentations). Media may be taken during the session for social media; by completing the form, you agree with this.

Code of Conduct/Behaviour All attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully throughout the event. We reserve the right to ask any participant to leave the event if they are acting inappropriately, at our discretion. We will have a briefing at the start of the event and the start of each activity.
